About Me
I have been quilting for the past 20 years. I started sewing back in 7th grade, when it was mandatory to take a sewing and cooking class. I enjoyed the sewing, but the cooking...
I have been knitting forever. My grandmother taught me at a very young age.
I guess I could say textiles are in my blood. My grandmother Jessie Angus, came to Lowell Massachusetts at the age of 18 from Scotland to work in the textile mills. She was an original "Lowell Mill Girl". I grew up in Lowell and received my BS in Nursing from the University of Lowell.I live in Raleigh, North Carolina with my husband Craig (also known as NC Tomato Man), our two spoiled chocolate labs, Mocha and Buddy, and Moby the Cat. I have 2 wonderful daughters, both in their 20's.
I now do some contract sewing for a local fabric artist. And I am toying with the idea of publishing my own quilting patterns.
I would like to share some of what I have learned over the years and some of the useful hints I have picked up from various quilt teachers, as well as some great websites. Please enjoy looking through my website and the photos of my work, which you can order directly from me. Check out my blog to see what I'm working on today!
