The past few months have been such a series of ups and downs that my head is spinning.
I think the downs are winning as I have lost both my sister and brother within months of each other. I am having trouble just writting this here, as it makes it seem more real and I don't want it to be real...... As for the ups, Craig and I had a wonderful trip to Seattle to visit Sara, Adam and our grandsons Aiden and Aaron. Craig also gave two wonderful talks at the Northwest Flower and Garden Show. Being with Sara and the boys was so good for my heart. Just to get hugs from her two sweet boys has to be the best medicine ever! Another up is Merry, our canine guest for two months. She is my is my sister's beautiful golden retriever. Merry and I have a special bond. It's not every dog that I let curl up on the couch with me. The cats are not happy as she is obsessed with them (the feeling is NOT mutual), but they will survive. Last week I had surgery to repair a torn labrum in my shoulder. It was an old injury and I have put off surgery for many years. I am now recovering nicely and looking forward to starting rehab and getting back to quilting. Although the downs are still fresh, I am so blessed and have so much to be grateful for! Thank you.
