![]() I am so happy to finally have my kitchen back... and such a beautiful kitchen!! It is almost completed - just some molding and small things to finish up. It is such a pleasure to cook and even clean up in this kitchen (I never thought that I would enjoy doing dishes). I feel like I have a new house.

Our new cabinets were installed today. We love them! The were made by Noles Cabinets in Fuquay Varina. The guys did a great job with the installation. We are amazed every time we go into the kitchen; it has been transformed from dark and dated to bright and beautiful. I can't stop opening the drawers and cabinets.
Next comes the countertops. It has been a busy two weeks with our kitchen redo. The tile floor is down and I am very happy with it. At first I thought it might be too dark, but now that it is finished and grouted, I love it. It has been exciting seeing the changes happen. The ceiling is stripped (popcorn texture removed) and recessed lights in. And the cabinets are going to be installed on Thursday. I can't wait.
We have been consumed with planning our kitchen renovation. What a lot of decisions! So far we have a new kitchen window. And, Craig and I are painting our trim white. Demolition starts Monday...can't wait!!
Not much new with quilting. I am back to making placemats for Lorin and finishing up the Apron quilt. I am also starting to machine quilt two lovely quilts for a customer. Here are pictures of the place mats. They are pieced with hand dyed shibori fabric. I think they look like fish (I would use them as wall hangings, just sewing on a nice bead for and eye.) |
